FUEL

FUEL are Damon Murray and Stephen Sorrell a graphic design and publishing company established in 1991.

FUEL is a London-based design studio and publisher focused on contemporary art, photography, catalogues and monographs. Since 1992, they have worked from their Spitalfields studio, developing long-term collaborations with artists, authors, galleries and publishers, while also producing their own books through FUEL Publishing.

They are also known for owning the Russian Criminal Tattoo Archive, a major collection of drawings, photographs and documents connected to Soviet and Russian prison tattoo culture, which has been published and exhibited internationally. Alongside their publishing work, FUEL has created independent projects including FUEL magazine, short films, and books such as Pure Fuel and Fuel 3000, exploring graphic design, authorship and visual culture.
